The way he parodies Star Wars (and pretty much all of sci-fi) is just brilliant—from Yogurt to Dark Helmet, every character is ridiculous in the best way possible. 😂 This one has always been a personal fave—probably one of the better Brooks films in my opinion. The jokes still hit after all these years, and the timing? Chef’s kiss. If you’re into clever spoofs and want something that doesn’t take itself seriously at all, Spaceballs is a must-watch. It’s dumb on purpose, like aggressively lame and that’s exactly where it gets its charm. Half the jokes are groaners, the other half are so ridiculous you can’t help but laugh anyway. The plot barely matters and the characters are cartoonish, and the whole thing feels like a giant cosplay sketch that somehow became a movie. But honestly? That’s the fun of it. It’s goofy, cheap-looking, and totally aware of its own nonsense and that’s why I still love it.
