It is called the cemetery of Sidi Amar, because it is where the marabout has been laid to rest in some miserable barrack, in the form of a mausoleum. It is here that he perished at the beginning of the 20th century. He has become the confidant of the population of a whole territory as families come to ask him to intercede in their favor; women come to him in search of a husband; and a man seeks to succeed in the perilous crossing of the Mediterranean.
