    A decent film from Paul Thomas Anderson. A standard fair with experimental aspects mixed in, some of which worked and some that did not. Although it's not a film that will become a classic, must-watch film, it doesn't have to be.

    Punch-Drunk Love starts off strangely—with a car crash and a harmonium that feels like a random insert—but slowly draws you in. The plot unfolds with a quiet mystery, and while not everything makes sense at first, the emotional core becomes clear. You can’t help but empathize with the lead, even as you wish he’d make some better choices—like riding shotgun with a driver who keeps veering off course. In the end, it’s a heartwarming and oddly beautiful film that lingers.
