Pets is a post-porn short film — or, as its director defines it, "pornoterrorist" — that dismantles the codes of sexual representation through found footage from anonymous twentieth-century pornographic films. Carri intervenes in these archives with scratches, paint, and disruptive montages, exposing the artificiality of sexual scripts and the performativity of gender. A voiceover — taken from a 1970s educational film about female orgasm — contrasts with explicit images of zoophilia and striptease, ironizing the patriarchal narrative that reduces female sexuality to a domesticated spectacle.
