Where to Watch Meander
Meander Ratings & Reviews
- Patrick Wai6 marca 2026Meander is what happens when a horror movie gets trapped inside an industrial plumbing catalog and decides, “Sure, this is a plot now.” The premise is basically: woman wakes up in a metal tube maze, and the film proceeds to throw a nonstop buffet of survival mini-games at her—fire, water, shocks, tight squeezes—like an escape room designed by someone who hates oxygen. The “story” feels less like a narrative and more like playing Dungeons & Dragons with a Dungeon Master who’s wildly improvising: “Uh… roll for… acidic steam. Also there’s a monster. Why? Because vibes.” If you’re claustrophobic, absolutely do not watch this unless you’re trying to speedrun a panic attack. There are multiple moments where the movie is essentially daring you to breathe. By the end, I wasn’t invested in the mystery so much as I was rooting for the end credits. Not because it’s the worst thing ever—more because it’s exhausting in that “I get it, the tube is mean” kind of way. Anxiety: 10/10. Coherence: rolling a natural 1.
- jackmeat23 lipca 2025My quick rating - 5.9/10. If you catch other reviews before this you will read "Saw" meets "Cube" which is only half correct. This is "Cube" but in a maze of tunnels with traps abound. There is no "Saw" element to this movie in the slightest. This isn't a bad thing, though, since this movie provides a tense horror/thriller nonetheless. One thing to note, half the movie is in English, the other half is in French. Subtitles will help, but don't worry about exact translations; there isn't much dialogue. Gaia Weiss is basically our lone actor in this one, and she handles the role exceptionally well. No way a story such as this works with an actor not up to holding the screen completely. The story itself does make sure to leave you with a whole lot of wondering, though. I am positive this was done on purpose and lets the viewer answer the questions on their own. I would say Mathieu Turi is a name to keep an eye on after viewing this. Even with the open-ended things you are just not sure about, such as how she got into this mess, you still have a good feeling coming out of it. Unless you need to have a bow on top of your present in an ending giving you all the answers. Then you may be pissed since you do not get that at all. The sheer claustrophobic feeling of this one made me think of "Crawl or Die" in being completely stuck all the time in these tubes (not quite as well done, but maybe they took some notes). Each turn in the pipes leads to another trap, and you are never really sure if she is getting closer to an escape or just roaming around in circles. An enjoyable and unexpected treat for sure, just don't expect any of the gore that "Saw" is known for. As I said, they have nothing in common.
- CharlotteCOSMIC9 lipca 2025Rather underwhelming movie that seems more like a wax crayon rubbing of The Descent, but instead of a cave, the movie takes place in some unusual over the top sci-fi maze that bares no connection to how the movie starts out. The ending is too weird and not really satisfying.
