Lucy played by Scarlett Johansson "helps" her boyfriend out. She becomes more aware of everything due to a synthetic drug CPH4, that has been given to her. Against her will she deals with sinister individuals by using her unique abilities, which she uses to gain vengeance against her perpetrators. Morgan Freeman plays a scientist who helps Lucy to deal with her newly found inteligence. A great yarn with a sobering twist.

It's entertaining. The voiceovers and cuts to nature scenes are too on the nose and distracting and obvious. Morgan Freeman is really calling it in. The no reason to sympathize with the main character because her personality is gone on the first 20 minutes. The motives of the bad guys are unclear. It's like they made a movie and forgot to put in the plot.
