I like single location films and I was intrigued by the premise but the script has to be so strong for these kind of films to work and it just wasn’t… I clearly see what the movie was trying to do but it ultimately felt rather unsatisfying and a little tedious.

Not the movie of the year. Entertaining

Although a little far fetched, the film does a decent job of keeping your attention right until the end.

Where cars and phones have ever-lasting batteries... What the hell is Hopkins doing in a film like this?

Solid acting, fun concept, and may even get you thinking about the choices you make in this life, and who you blame.

    Nice, but somehow "already seen"

The plot was fairly original, and direction, in car camera shots, framing were great in parts, left feeling a little underwhelmed at the end without giving spoilers, mostly because such a strong plot could have had a lot more substance and more action, left it a little one dimensional. There was plenty of things to like in the sadist Hopkins' William and the Endurance of Skarsgards' Eddie. The actors were perfectly cast for the script and couldn't have done a better job with what they had to work with. I did enjoy the film, for what it was, theres a lot of good elements even if it under delivered on the promise of the plot for these two brilliant actors. its worth a watch, and would rate it at 7.7/10

Locked and Event Horizon (1997) may play in different genres, but both are traps disguised as vehicles — one a luxury SUV, the other a ghost ship — and once you're inside, there’s no getting out without scars. Eddie’s descent in Locked mirrors the terror of Event Horizon’s doomed crew. Once the door seals, the real horror begins: the space isn’t just confined, it’s alive with judgment. Just as the Event Horizon reflects its passengers' worst fears, the SUV in Locked becomes a crucible, turning guilt and desperation into fuel for psychological combustion. Both films are about men trying to escape something far larger than the physical walls around them. Eddie runs from justice, but finds a twisted version of it waiting. In Event Horizon, the crew flees science and finds scripture written in screams. There are no safe exits in either film — only consequences, delivered one claustrophobic frame at a time. Where Event Horizon traps you in the void, Locked does it in metal and chrome. But the message is the same: it’s not where you’re going that matters — it’s what follows you in.

Is it classified as a thriller, horror? The only thing horrifying was the fact that every 10 minutes, I hesitated to turn it off and didn't trust my instincts. Watched the whole film, nothing changed or improved, but a couple scenes that one could call thrillerish, but it felt like 4 hours... Watch something else.

A must see, Hopkins and Skarsgard put on a masterclass! It's hard to keep the viewer engaged in a one location movie but this one pulls it off perfectly. A lot of symbolism, and touching on classism going on from the get go and executed brilliantly. At one point i was holding tears back, because they really added a lot emotion in here. They beautifully amp up the pace and tension towards the end that leaves you at the edge of your seat. No wonder Raimi put his money on this, because it's an absolute blast! I 100% recommend it!

Sooo many production logos lol The direction is quite dope. The roaming camera made the intro appear to have no cuts and it’s really well done. Kinda like the movie Heretic but for Crime and Punishment. Also the writing isn’t as good. Hell of a performance from Skarsgård! Very stomach turning!

    unexpectedly good!

It has some solid tension and great performances, but it never really takes off. The pacing drags, the tone feels uneven, and the payoff doesn’t quite hit. It’s watchable, just not memorable.

I want the battery from its phone...was it plutonium or what? In the end, the usual politically correct film, with a predictable and do-gooder ending.
