On the night she moved into the apartment, Atsuko, determined to give up her virginity, waits for Terayama in bed, but Terayama says, "I feel that a woman should be a virgin," and does not touch her. On the contrary, he declares that he will write a novel again, which he had given up on, and devotes himself to it, even while he sleeps. He recommends that Atsuko, who has nothing better to do with her free time, go to Morikawa's family temple, where she attends Meiji University. When Atsuko and Morikawa walk through the forest to a waterfall, Morikawa forcefully takes Atsuko's lips and she loses her virginity. After the incident was over, Morikawa said "I'm sorry" to Atsuko, who was shedding tears, and left the place. When Atsuko returns to her apartment, she is unable to tell Terayama the truth, and all she can do is tell him in a quiet voice, "Don't cheat on me".
