Interstellar Ratings & Reviews
- Varun13 grudnia 2024Watched the IMAX rerelease and was completely blown away. I was speechless after the movie was done. I saw the movie 10 years ago at age 15 in a regular theatre and it had a huge impact on my life. As a teenager I really loved the final lesson on love, but it was like a wisdom cookie that I liked and accepted as a piece of knowledge, but hadn’t fully experienced and understood in my soul. It’s only in 2019 when I experimented with ego dissolving substances and then later watching lectures on love and reality by the philosopher J. Krishnamurti that I finally realised deep down in my soul that love truly was beyond space and time. Love to me is the same as God, a single unifying force that holds the fabric of the universe together, that exists within everything. One is All, All is One. It’s a dimension that is both immanent and transcendent, and human beings are capable of tapping into its sphere through various means. In this movie, that means is explored through the lens of physics and space, two things that have also been absolutely fundamental in changing the trajectory of my life and belief systems, it was the impetus for my disbelief in religion and God but also my eventual return back to spirituality. And I would absolutely credit Interstellar for sparking that push to meditate on these concepts, and also for providing help with some visual imagery to wrestle with these hard topics. The depictions and scenery in this film are jaw droppingly gorgeous and unforgettable, it’s bound to stay in your conscious mind for a long time. I know I wasn’t the same after this experience. And of course, Hans Zimmer delivering the best movie score of all time, makes me so emotional every single time and also feel a profound sense of hope in life. The sound design in IMAX was perfect. The actions scenes are also really good, felt like I was out of my seat multiple times. I do have a little bit of a gripe with a few character and story moments, they were sacrificed in service of the bigger picture. But overall I think it tells a very special story about the human struggle in this infinite cold universe and it’s one of the best movies I’ve ever seen, completely worth rewatching it in IMAX, it’s almost a religious experience.

- Kevin Welkner7 maja 2025Can’t believe it took me over 10 years to watch this. This is one of those 3 hour movies that goes by in what feels like minutes because you are so sucked in to it - ironic given the storyline.

- SAID MTS30 stycznia 2026Existential wonder served with a side of "time-dilation" trauma.
- Manuel Frangis20 stycznia 2026I just watched Interstellar and I give it 5 out of 5 stars. This movie is one of the most powerful experiences I have ever had. It reaches deep into your emotions while taking you on a journey that feels both massive and personal at the same time. I went in expecting a science fiction adventure, but what I got was a story about love, sacrifice, time, and the heartbreaking distance between the people we love. It surprised me with how emotional it became, and I found myself thinking about it long after it ended. Matthew McConaughey gives a performance that feels incredibly human. He plays Cooper with a mix of hope, determination, and heartbreak. He is a man who wants to save the future, but he also wants to hold on to the life he already has. The conflict inside him is written on his face in every scene. His love for his children becomes the emotional anchor of the whole movie. Even when the story goes into deep scientific ideas, his emotions are what keep it grounded and powerful. One of the moments that touched me the most was the aging scene when Cooper watches years of messages from his kids. Seeing his children grow up in front of him while he stays the same age hit me in a way I did not expect. It was heartbreaking, emotional, and completely unforgettable. You feel the weight of every year he missed. You feel the pain of a father who left to save his family but ended up losing the chance to watch them grow. That scene alone showed how powerful the movie’s themes are. It made me feel the fear of time slipping away and the sadness of realizing life moved on without him. It is one of the most emotional scenes I have ever seen in any movie. Anne Hathaway brings strength and depth to her role as well. Her character adds another perspective on what it means to fight for survival while still holding on to hope. Her emotional honesty gives the movie balance, and her scenes add warmth and compassion. The supporting cast does an amazing job too, each person adding something meaningful to the journey. The visuals are breathtaking. From the vastness of space to the mysterious planets, every shot feels carefully created to give the story scale and beauty. The movie captures both the danger and the wonder of exploring beyond Earth. The music by Hans Zimmer is unforgettable. The score fills the movie with emotion, suspense, and a sense of awe. It rises and falls at the perfect moments, making certain scenes feel even more intense and moving. The themes of Interstellar are deep and reflective. It explores time, family, sacrifice, and the strength of love. It shows how far someone will go for the people they care about. It makes you think about the choices you make and the things you cannot control. The movie blends science with human emotion in a way that feels sincere and meaningful. By the time the movie ended, I felt amazed, emotional, and grateful for the experience. Interstellar is not just a film. It is a journey through space, time, and the human heart. It completely earned its perfect rating from me.
