A simple, but perfectly scenographic idea (which was indeed beautiful to look at), bogged down by tedious direction and pacing, and what felt like an inept screenplay adaption of the novel. we were honestly glad when it finally ended, and basically felt almost nothing. a real waste.
- 12 sierpnia 2026I know it received very mixed reviews but i happen to really like it. It takes the class division to extremes and portraits what happens if you dont take care of the foundation. I like the confusion it serves and the cast is a good match for narrating the common-folk stories on the sideline.
