Gene Hackman slips back into the role effortlessly and gives another strong performance, bringing the same rough, relentless energy. The change of setting gives the movie a different vibe, and some parts get surprisingly intense. It feels a bit slower and rougher around the edges, but there’s still plenty to appreciate, especially the mood and Hackman’s commitment to the character.
