Drawing Flies (1996) is a weird, low-budget indie comedy that feels like a hidden piece of the Kevin Smith universe. Directed by Malcolm Ingram and starring Jason Mewes and Jason Lee, the film has that raw ‘90s DIY energy mixed with dry humor, bizarre characters, and surprisingly thoughtful moments about friendship and direction in life. It’s rough around the edges in the best possible way, giving it an authentic underground charm that fans of Clerks-era indie filmmaking will probably appreciate. Definitely an interesting cult curiosity for View Askewniverse fans.
