- Zokkiie26 kwietnia 2026Read the book about a week ago, and honestly this is a really strong adaptation. It keeps the same unsettling vibe while adding its own style, and a lot of it still feels surprisingly bold for something made in the early 30s. Fredric March is fantastic and fully commits in a way that could’ve easily come off silly but doesn’t. A few scenes drag a little and some of the side characters feel thinner than they could’ve been, but that’s about all I can really knock it for. The atmosphere is great, the transformation stuff is still impressive, and it has way more bite than I expected. Really good watch.
