- tsamp229 czerwca 2025It’s one of those movies that intentionally leaves the past blurry, I guess so you can make up your own back story for Gruner, it only offers a peek at the past (with the journal, a few pictures of a lizard having sex with a woman). Anyway, it’s a strange one, and not easy, it tries to be thoughtful and poetic, but manages to say nothing. It’s a story of brutality. Of mankind’s ugly face. There’s a few tender meaningless moments with Friend and Aneris, but he is no hero. It doesn’t have the beautiful love story of The Shape of Water, so it’s just kind of empty, which is clearly intentional. No warm fuzzies here. Just cold skin. I wish it was better.
