Absolutely terrible! Very predictable unoriginal, terrible acting stupid shark scenes unrealistic. I cannot get that time back. Hollywood is truly suffering. Hollywood has to do better!

The entire budget went into managing all the unneccessary quick camera cuts. If the sea doesn't make you sick, the editing will.

This movie was a decent shark attack movie; lots of attacks, plenty of shark footage. A little too much yakety yak, but otherwise a sold film. Until the end, when the reason for the shark attacks are the result of climate change, a condition which is made up and doesn't actually exist (not to be confused with pollution, which is a problem).

Would not recommend. It got a few laughs but only because it was ridiculous. I was hoping the shark would of gotten all of them.

Pretty trash, acting sub par and not worth the time. The Aussie similar version was better.

This movie is a smorgasbord of AI slop and an offense to the film industry. Shark kept changing sizes. All the voices were ADR. Blood doesn't splatter like that underwater. So awful. Sharknado is actually superior. And they know they're a joke.

Love shark movies but this was the worst one I have ever seen. Bad acting, bad effects. Bad movie. Shark should have ate the director

Made it about 15 minutes in before shutting this hot steamy pile off! The acting was horrific. It was very much giving Hallmark with terrible writing.

When someone asks ChatGPT to AI them some bloody scary sharks. This movie doesn't deserve the 1/2 star I am forced to lift it on...

When I stumbled upon the 2026 movie titled "Chum", I needed no persuasion to watch it. I have always enjoyed shark-themed movies, despite the fact that the vast majority of them are questionable movies. I found this movie's cover to be rather interesting, and since I hadn't already seen the movie, of course I gave it a fair chance. Dick Grunert, Ryan R. Johnson, James Kondelik, Joe Leone and Jonathan Zuck wrote a script that proved entertaining. Sure, it wasn't the most layered or profound narratives, and it was in itself rather simplistic, but it worked out well enough, as the movie proved to be enjoyable. Let's face it, shark movies are watches for the shark attack scenes for the most parts, with the narrative being a runner up thing. I happened to be adequately entertained by the narrative. I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list. Not that it was a bad thing, not at all. I do, actually, enjoy watching new and unfamiliar talents on the screen. The acting performances in "Chum" were good. Visually, well "Chum" was quite good. I liked the special effects in the movie, especially the shark attack scenes. They were quite nicely made and seemed rather real, and added a very good layer to the movie, one that many other shark movies tend to lack. The fact that they had the shark snarling and growling was just so epically stupid. Sharks are silent killers, it is part of what makes them so terrifying. And a snarling shark? No, that is just stupid. It makes it feel like a comic relief. So thumbs down for that decision. If you enjoy shark-themed movies, then "Chum" is actually one of the more entertaining and enjoyable of shark-themed movies in a long time.
