- vangh17 dni temuMy first, second, and third thoughts when this started on the big screen were how good it still looks, even 20 years later. Lighting, reflections, shot selection, and broadcast style create a sense of photo-realism, while the vibrant world and character design instill a memorable artistic style. I was blown away by how good this movie is at creating atmosphere. The best of it is our sleepy introduction to Radiator Springs before Lightning blows into town. I don't think it's possible to give us a better sense of a place in short order than this movie manages to. And they do it again and again. The arena atmosphere at the raceways, the nostalgic look back at old school Radiator Springs and the encroaching Interstate, the sweeping landscapes and roadways we witness to and fro the town, right down to the interior of Mack's trailer or Hud's garage, they're all so meticulous and distinct. I found it crazy work that despite the fact this a movie about a race car, which opens on the season ending championship race, and ends on the trophy deciding tie-breaker race, it's not actually about racing at all, which makes the second movie seem so much less ridiculous in its decision to go full spy genre. The series was never just generic race car sports movie fare. This was well worth an anniversary watch in theatre, which is funny, because I only saw it for the first time a couple of years ago. Really cramming my whole life's experience with this movie into a tight space.
- COCO20 lutego 2025No shame, this right here is The Godfather of animated movies. A cinematic masterpiece. Lightning McQueen has one of the best character arcs and he’s a freaking race-car. Life really is a highway and anyone that knows when to say “KA-CHOW” in casual conversation is a friend of mine.

Positives: - The entire story is simple but executed to perfection - The message of the film is very clear - The animation still holds up - The voice acting is solid - The soundtrack is a banger - Life is a Highway - The racing sequences are intense and extremely entertaining - The humour is pretty funny - There is also a decent romance Overall Cars is an absolute blast of a film that is probably one of if not the best Pixar movie.
