"Blade Runner" opowiada o historii jednego z Łowców Androidów, Ricka Deckarda. Replikanci, bo tak nazwano tych androidów, byli używani do niebezpiecznych badań i kolonizacji innych planet. Po krwawym buncie zespołu androidów na pozaziemskiej kolonii, Replikanci nie mogli przebywać legalnie na Ziemi. Są oni owładnięci panicznym strachem przed nieuchronną śmiercią i za wszelką cenę starają się dotrzeć do ich konstruktorów - jedynych ludzi mogących przedłużyć ich życie. Replikanci zostali bowiem zabezpieczeni przed długotrwałym życiem ze względu na rozwijające się w nich uczucia. Specjalny oddział policji - tytułowi "Łowcy Androidów" - są detektywami, którzy mają za zadanie odnaleźć i wyeliminować zbiegłych androidów. Akcja rozgrywa się w Los Angeles w 2019 roku gdy jeden z najlepszych Łowców zostaje ranny podczas wykonywania testu Voigta-Kampffa na jednym z androidów i właśnie Deckard przejmuje jego zadanie - wyeliminowanie zbiegłych androidów typu Nexus-6.

- Otacon!25 lutego 2026This movie is a sci-fi classic, and you know it. I love it but is not a movie for everyone. I had seen this movie several times, maybe too much times, and I need to be frank and say that even some sci-fi lovers will not appreciate this tittle. I had friends that loves a lot of movies that I love to, but that will say that this movie is ok but nothing more. I can understand why, and is the same critic that the director has said one time in the dvd's extras. The rhythm is not for everyone, and is true.

I gave it a second chance equally accidentally on the day it takes place, November 20, 2019. I started to come around. Several years and additional viewings later, it's my favorite movie of all time. The plot is nothing special, and neither are the performances, but the stunning Vangelis soundscape coupled with the timeless practical effects make it without equal.
