American Psycho
Directed by Mary HarronPatrick Bateman sprawia wrażenie człowieka, który osiągnął w życiu wszystko.
American Psycho Ratings & Reviews
- joeowens5162 dni temuIt was my first time watching it, and it struck me as the kind of movie that demands a rewatch. I loved the unreliable narrator element. Bates may be a killer, he may be insane—he’s probably both—but what stayed with me most was something else. His friends, obsessed with business cards, dinner reservations, designer suits, and status, felt like the real psychos. There’s a lot more to unpack, but that was my initial takeaway.
- Megan Cruz18 marca 2025I’d write a full review but I have to return some video tapes
- darsan29 marca 2026"i simply am not there" holy shit i finally get the true meaning behind this film after watching it for the second time and christian bale's performance in this will always be iconic.
- The Gutter Monkey23 marca 2025Bateman Begins.
- makdelart19 marca 2026A story about a narcissistic, yuppie psychopath. The film is a poor satire—I’m not really sure what it’s satirising—and it’s just as pretentious as the 1980s it references. Admittedly, the ending tries to add some underlying meaning and depth, but I’m not buying it.
- Hipster ZOMBIE21 lutego 2025American Psycho is peak Christian Bale. A self absorbed, jealous, cranky, sadistic businessman who compares business card fonts with his friends while listening to Huey Lewis and the News. Is the film really happening? Maybe. Maybe it’s all in the wrapped mind of Bale’s Patrick Bateman character. Either way if it’s having to return video tapes or reserve a table at fancy restrauants, Patrick Bateman finds time to murder and spend his money on hookers. Who he also kills. It’s a brutal dark comedy and I’m here for it.
- pixelphantom11 marca 2026This was obviously peak and a masterpiece. I watched this when I was 10 on my DVD player and it was the second movie I've watched. 100000000000000 out of 10
- Stairwaytothestars9 marca 2026AMERICAN PSYCHO is so psychotic that he even lost the grip on his chainsaw, and Christian Bale gives a ripping performance.
- jkljlk11975 marca 2026"This confession has meant nothing."
- Sam18 listopada 2025his business card sucked and his taste in business cards sucked too because paul allen's card was also dogshit
- theLillyPad1 lipca 2025Bale's early work was a little too new wave for my taste. But when Psycho came out in 2000, I think he really came into their own, commercially and artistically. The whole performance has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the movie a big boost. He's been compared to Daniel Day-Lewis, but I think Bale has a far more bitter, cynical sense of humor. In 2000, Pressman released this; American Psycho, his most accomplished film. I think its an undisputed masterpiece. A film so memable, most people probably don't pay attention to the message. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity and the importance of trends. It's also a personal statement about the lack of accountability for elites and the effects of unregulated corporatism!
- illegalgamer50002 lipca 2025wow i like psycho man guy
- quietdeath985 marca 2026Extraordinary well made movie with top notch performance from all actors.
- Oʂɯαʅԃσ Rσყҽƚƚ13 lutego 2026The film looks to examine our own distorted points of view or detachments from reality. Like Patrick Bateman, we may be trapped craving the approval of others and denying ourselves the ability to distinguish fantasies from our reality. People are obsessed with how the others perceive them likewise in American Psycho Bateman achieves no catharsis, he's trapped in his own personal hell because he requires the recognition of the other yuppies to confirm his identity as a murderer. The irony is that Feynman's real crimes may as well be fantasy. The lack of acknowledging his reality drives Bateman further into madness and existential despair
- ConnorR31 października 2025I hate capitalism but man do I love Patrick Bateman 😻😻
