The concept is really cool – that our cells contains six billion years worth of ‘memories’ – and the techno babble is actually something you can follow philosophically, which is kinda rare. The special effects are insanely (no pun intended) cool and technically brilliant for a movie from 1980. Not sure if it was intentional, or actually counter-intentional, but I kinda got a hankering to try edibles and trip out like William Hurt. ¯\(ツ)/¯

This was a super trippy movie that can not be taken lightly. It's it real, no but it feels that way while watching it. I wouldn't wanna watch this movie while tripping myself. It might turn YOU into a monkey too. Hahaha.
