Instead, it drifts — not offensive, not insightful, just… there. And that’s the core issue: it never seems fully sure what it wants to say. There’s an unrequited love subplot woven through it, but it’s handled so thinly that it barely registers. It’s meant to be emotional ballast, yet it comes across more as filler than feeling. And the film’s broader suggestion — that people simply fall into pornography or sex work like an unfortunate gust of wind blew them there — doesn’t ring true. It feels like a narrative shortcut rather than a real exploration of a complex industry, giving the whole film an oddly hollow centre. It’s not unwatchable, and there are moments of sincerity, but nothing sticks. It’s a drama that glances at big ideas without grasping any. Film przedstawia historię osiemnastoletniej Angeliny (Ashley Hinshaw), która właśnie kończy szkołę średnią. Dziewczyna ma trudne życie rodzinne. Jej matka (Lili Taylor) jest alkoholiczką, a jej ojczym jest porywczy i nieprzewidywalny. Pewnego ranka jej chłopak (Jonny Weston) sugeruje by zrobić nagie zdjęcia dla pieniędzy. Początkowo niechętna, w końcu zgadza się wziąć udział w sesji zdjęciowej. Za zarobione pieniądze razem ze swoim przyjacielem (Dev Patel) wyjeżdża do San Francisco.
