Definitely a movie for girls. Feels a little bit like television. You have to love Ruffalo, though.

Stranger than it wanted to be Also Mark Rufalo is in this movie and poor things as a love interest to a child in a grown woman's body ...

⭐⭐⭐⭐ – 13 Going on 30 – Glitter, Growing Up, and Second Chances 13 Going on 30 is one of those films that’s easy to underestimate until you’re halfway through and realise you’ve been smiling the entire time. It’s a body-swap comedy in the vein of Big and Freaky Friday, but with a distinctly early-2000s flavour — all pastel office fashion, catchy pop hits, and a warm heart beneath the sparkle. Jennifer Garner is pitch-perfect as Jenna Rink, a 13-year-old girl who wakes up in her 30-year-old body after wishing to be “thirty, flirty, and thriving.” What follows is a light, funny, and surprisingly touching exploration of the gap between who we think we want to be and who we actually are. Mark Ruffalo plays the childhood friend turned adult almost-romance with his usual quiet charm, and together they sell the nostalgia that gives the story its pull. Yes, it’s predictable — every beat lands exactly where you expect — but it’s that predictability that makes it work. It’s comfort cinema: the kind of movie you can put on any time and know you’ll leave in a better mood. Beneath the glitter and pop songs is a simple truth — sometimes the best part of growing up is realising what was good about being young. It may not reinvent the genre, but it doesn’t need to. It’s sweet, warm, and endlessly rewatchable — like a memory you didn’t know you missed. 🍬 Pairing: A strawberry milkshake — pink, sweet, and a little cheesy, but you’ll drink it with a grin anyway.

Lucy is truly the reason to not peak in high school tbh. I swear I've seen this before but I can't remember so this was fresh. I liked it a lot. Kinda makes me want to rethink my actions in the past almost. Glad she had magic to where she was able to not be so mean when she got old the second time!

Not bad, Garner is certainly stunning at times but the film ventures into the cringe category more often than the films it's aping like Big.
