Walter Lawlor is a Producer and Assistant Director born and raised in St. John's, NL. Walter grew up on set of many classic Newfoundland and Canadian productions under the watch of his father, a producer for CBC TV. This upbringing inspired his desire spend a life turning dreams and ideas into cinematic reality. After attending St. Thomas University and the University of Toronto, Walter qualified as a paratrooper in the Canadian Army, where he served in Bosnia. On return to Canada he joined the Directors Guild of Canada and began his film production career as an Assistant Director, climbing the ranks while working on dozens of productions in Toronto and St. John's. He made his move to Producing with the film "Incredible Violence" which screened at Cannes in 2018 at the Telefim Canadian Perspectives and the Frontières Showcase as well as the 2018 Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain and the Atlantic Film Festival in Nova Scotia. He has written three feature films, including the historical Viking drama "Leif" and action drama "South Coast", both of which he intends to bring to camera through his company, Third Child Films. Walter has a slate of films both in production for 2019 and more in development for 2020 and beyond.
