Tom Junod is an American ESPN senior writer and one of the most celebrated longform journalists of the last three decades. Since joining ESPN in 2016, he has produced acclaimed work such as the Emmy-nominated ‘The Hero of Goodall Park’ and the investigative report ‘Untold.’ A two-time National Magazine Award winner, Junod is the author of some of the most enduring stories in ‘Esquire’ history, including ‘The Falling Man’ and ‘Can You Say…Hero?,’ which inspired the film ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.’ His diverse body of work has earned him a James Beard Award and frequent inclusion in ‘The Best American’ anthologies across multiple genres. Originally from Long Island, Junod now lives in Georgia and is currently writing a memoir for Doubleday.
