Josh Carpenter

Actor

June 27, 1979 (46 years)
Josh Carpenter is an American actor born and raised in Tyler, Texas—the “Rose Capital of the Nation.” The youngest of five, he discovered his love for performance early on, taking the stage in local productions at the Brickstreet Theatre, where he trained under mentor Ivah Albright.

His talent was spotted by acting coach Peter Sklar, leading him to attend the prestigious Beginnings workshop multiple times—an experience that solidified his path as an actor. After stepping away from the craft following the loss of his mentor, Josh eventually found his way back, relocating to New York City to study under Matthew Corozine.

In New York, he built his foundation across Off-Broadway productions, independent films, and television roles, even performing in a children’s show once played by Jason Ritter. After nearly a decade, Josh shifted his focus to on-screen work and moved to Los Angeles—quickly booking a national Budweiser Super Bowl commercial.

Since then, he has continued to work across film, television, and commercials, collaborating with a wide range of creatives while honing a grounded, emotionally driven style. After 10 years in New Orleans Josh has settled down in his hometown state of Teaxas where he has frequented the theatre scene performing in outstanding shows like Misery, Noises Off, True West, It's A Wonderful Life Radio Play, and Proof. He loves auditioning for those roles that take him out of his comfort zone and always turns out a great performance. He is represented by Landrum Arts, Josh continues to pursue roles that challenge him and connect with audiences.
