Jack Greenhalgh (July 23, 1904 – September 3, 1971) was an American cinematographer, part of the Classical Hollywood cinema generation. He shot Billy the Kid in Santa Fe (1941), Gangster's Den (1945), Too Many Winners (1947) among others. He was active from 1926-53.
An operator assistant in the late 1920s, Jack Greenhalgh was the lead operator on two hundred and four American B-series films, released between 1935 and 1953. Many of them are Sam Newfield's productions produced by the Producers Releasing Corporation , including westerns (notably with Buster Crabbe or Tim McCoy) and horror films.
Let us mention Reefer Madness by Louis J. Gasnier (1936, with Dave O'Brien and Thelma White), Douglas Sirk's Hitler's Madman (1943, with Patricia Morison and John Carradine), Sam Newfield's Forbidden Pleasures (1949), with Alan Baxter and Lyle Talbot), or Phil Tucker's Robot Monster (his penultimate film, 1953, starring George Nader and Selena Royle).
For television, Jack Greenhalgh contributed to two series in 1951 and 1952, including The Adventures of Kit Carson (1951).
