She had boarding school education and always wanted to act but her parents were against it.. She did a grooming course in modeling during school holidays and was subsequently offered a modeling course. Her parents refused to let her attend a drama school in London so she accepted the modeling course in Manchester and established herself as a successful model. Her first television appearance was when she was at school and was voted 'Britains Most Glamorous Schoolgirl'.
