Episode 3Skoose is only too pleased to be put in charge when Roland does his outdoor demonstration of Thai cookery, impressing glamorous promoter Alison Harris in the process, and then drives Bib to the fertility clinic. In the evening he treats Alison to dinner and all is going well until he notices that she only has one arm.

Episode 5Roland finally gets a chance to be in the spotlight when he is invited to do a spot on the TV show Sunday Chefs. It is just a pity he is chosen to do it on a day where they have a function for 300 people at the hotel, much to the annoyance of Bib and Caroline.
