In Kiev, Igor and Ivar engage in subterfuge and Ivar is stunned when he encounters a ghost from his past.

Death and the SerpentBjorn is forced to act quickly in the aftermath of the election for the king of all Norway. The Bandits attack Lagertha’s village again confident of an easy victory. However, when the defense boils down to single combat with Lagertha, victory seems less likely. In Kattegat, haunted and paranoid, Hvitserk continues to unravel.

The Ice MaidenIn Kattegat, a funeral is prepared for Lagertha; Torvi volunteers for the human sacrifice to accompany her friend to Valhalla but is declined because she is pregnant, and another young woman is accepted. Bjorn arrives in time to see the ceremony. Ivar receives a message from Dir. Olaf confronts King Harald, and he jails Olaf.

Valhalla Can WaitBjorn faces a difficult decision. Ubbe and Torvi leave Kattegat in search of new lands and perhaps old friends. Oleg's plans for the invasion of Scandinavia take shape. King Harald is baffled by the origin of a mysterious raiding party.

ResurrectionIn Iceland, Ubbe and Torvi finally meet a mysterious wanderer. Bjorn is forced to re-think who his enemies are when Erik returns from a scouting mission with worrying information. Bjorn will need allies, but he may not be able to convince his old foe, King Harald, to join forces in the face of the new threat. Ivar is reunited with someone close to him.

The Best Laid PlansIvar and Oleg plot their attack on Norway. Meanwhile Bjorn, Gunhild, Erik, and Harald plan the defense of Vestfold without additional help because the other kings have not come to help Harald. When the Rus arrive on the shore, the battle with the Vikings begins.

King of KingsIn Iceland, Ubbe learns the truth about Kjetill and has a difficult decision to make. Back in Norway, the battle against the Rus has had grave consequences. But re-enforcements have arrived, and Bjorn has an idea that may yet save the day.

All ChangeIvar, Hvitserk, Prince Oleg and Prince Igor return to Kiev but the latter faces the consequences. With the leadership vacancy in Kattegat Erik, Gunnhild and Ingrid are making plans to fill it. Back to Kiev, Ivar and Prince Dir have new plans for Prince Oleg.

The SignalTrouble at sea heightens divisions near Iceland. A homecoming king with a new friend ends the spousal division threatened by an election in Kattegat. Good Friday is an opportunity for division among the Rus.

Lost SoulsIn Kiev, Prince Oleg promises to attack Novgorod and punish those who have betrayed him. Harald takes over as ruler of Kattegat and proposes marriage to Gunnhild so that she can be the Queen of Kattegat. Ubbe and Torvi lose Asa and find that the land is not the promised golden land. When a whale appears in the settlement of Kjetill and his family, Ubbe and the settlers learn how selfish a man can be.
All at Sea

All at SeaFactions in Greenland spill blood, driving Ubbe's company away. Troops under Ivar and Dir seize Kiev for Prince Igor. Gunnhild makes a fateful choice.
The Final Straw

The Final StrawUbbe has a difficult journey with the settlers due to the lack of water and supplies, and the weakest persons die on board. He also discusses with Othere. Meanwhile, Ivar and Hvitserk return to Kattegat and hail King Harald, while they are loathed by the residents. Ivar question his brother whether he took the right decision leaving Kiev.

The Raft of MedusaWhen king Alfred hears about the arrival of the sons of Ragnar, with an army he must take drastic action. So as the Vikings army makes camp & lies in wait, Alfred and his army abandon the royal villa and march to meet them.

It's Only MagicUbbe and settlers find land but soon realize they are not alone. In Wessex, king Alfred has mustered up a large force to fight the Vikings. Meanwhile in Kattegat, Erik realizes that Ingrid had been using her powers on him

The Lord Giveth...In the new land, Ubbe and the settlers engage in careful diplomacy when they are surrounded by the locals. In Wessex the Vikings ambush the Saxon army, but Alfred is convinced the lord is with his army and refuses to retreat.
The Last Act

The Last ActThe epic saga which began with Ragnar Lothbrok, the first Vikings leader to emerge from the mists of legend, comes to an end in a spectacular and shocking series finale which finds striking the new land and in England.
