In The Woods1993. Saverio Barone, a young magistrate serving in Termini Imerese near Palermo, decides in a mix of ambition and sense of duty to denounce his boss, Salvatore Donà, to the CSM, suspecting his collusion with the local mafia.

He still has to prove his skills to them and to himself.
