Takes place in Kemijärvi, small town north east of Finland. Young policewoman returns to hometown after working in capital area of the country. Mother has died recently and father, ex chief of police retired and turned "strange". Some thinking he should be submitted to mental care. She soon finds out that the police work, life and people are quite different from what she has gotten accustomed to down south.
