Samson & GertSeason 1

Gert and his speaking dog Samson live together in the 'Dorpstraat 101', where they have lots of funny adventures with their friends. The tubby hairdresser Albert, the clumsy mayor and his hyperactive secretary as well as grocery store owners Octaaf and Jeanine De Bolle each contribute in a great way to the story.

De schildpadJoop gaat met Marlène picknicken aan zee. Wanneer Gert dit hoort, is hij stikjaloers. En ook in de keuken heeft hij weinig succes: zijn zelfgebakken koekjes vallen niet erg in de smaak.

GeldGert wil het hart van Marlène veroveren maar denkt dat hij niet opgewassen is tegen de rijke Jean-Louis Michel. Hij bedenkt allerlei manieren om meer geld te verdienen.

KunstGert wil indruk maken bij Marlène en geld verdienen met een artistiek beroep. Hij besluit schilder te worden en maakt 4 portretten van Samson. Nu moet hij enkel nog een galerij vinden die zijn meesterwerkjes wil kopen.

EierenGert is goedgehumeurd maar dat verandert snel wanneer Joop op bezoek komt. Eerst vergelijkt de buurman Marlène met een oude vrouw, daarna vindt hij de aardappelen en appelen uit haar tuin veel te klein. Gert beslist om Joop beet te nemen met een pan eieren van de kippen van Marlène.

De dreigbriefSamson en Gert vinden een dreigbrief tussen hun stapel post. In de brief staat dat ze een 'stelletje aanstellers' zijn en dat ze er vandaag nog aan gaan. Onze vrienden zijn bang en worden vanaf nu door elk geluid opgeschrikt.

De bagageJoop gaat naar zee maar krijgt niet al zijn bagage in een valies. Gert moet hem hierbij helpen.

TrouwenGert krijgt van de directeur een presentatieopdracht en zo ziet hij zijn etentje met Marlène in het water vallen. Bovendien is Marlène zo kwaad dat ze niet meer met hem wil trouwen. Terwijl Gert overmand door liefdesverdriet zijn slaapkamer opzoekt, gaan Samson en Joop op zoek naar een nieuwe vrouw voor Gert. Plots krijgt hij het ene telefoontje na het andere.

Samson has promised to help Joop Mengelmoes with his new scheme to earn money: Joop collects people's shoes, Samson cleans them. But Joop forgot to mark the shoes, so he can't work out which pair to deliver back to whom, while the mayor is among those needing theirs back urgently.

Even in Samson hadn't digressed into absurd fairy tale references, Gert's ignorance would have been obvious.
