Pyotr Andreevich, a distinguished physician, heads the N. I. Pirogov Hospital. His daughter, Kira, a brilliant surgeon on the verge of burnout, also works there. Young doctors come to work at the hospital, whom Pyotr Andreevich sends to her for training. Kira, however, is hostile to them, quickly becoming a "bitch" in the eyes of the newcomers.
