The choreography hits hard and often, straddling that fine line between stylish and absurd — but that’s entirely the point. The games were never subtle, and neither is this. Each episode feels like a short film made by people who love the source material enough not to take it too seriously. Mark Dacascos brings veteran martial arts gravitas, while the rest of the cast mostly punches, kicks, and grimaces their way through with earnest enthusiasm. Few martial arts adaptations manage to honour their game roots while still being watchable — this one pulls it off. It’s flashy, fun, and surprisingly faithful to the spirit of the arcade.
