His owner is a former military man and rescuer named Viktor. His best friends are Viktor's children, 20-year-old twins Ivan and Katya. Together with family friend Aslan, they come to the aid of climbers, snowboarders, and other extreme sports enthusiasts in trouble. Viktor's combat skills also help him search the mountains for fugitives, kidnapped children, and other crime figures.
