Andrzej Fidyk was born in 1953 in Warsaw, Mazowieckie, Poland. A Polish documentary filmmaker, producer, and proferssor of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School in Katowice. He is best-known for work his 1989 documentary Defilada, which depicts the mass parades choreographed to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in 1988.
