Unbreakable follows a young disabled man aged 22 to 25 named Alex, who grapples with the reality of able-ism as he goes through his day. The able-ism is personified in a shadowy figure that visits him in a dream. The shadow follows him around, polluting everything he does. He soon learns that this is not just a dream and the shadow will be with him always. Instead of running away from it, he decides to come to terms with it, accepting that it is a part of him and learning to live with it.
