- Ray Hopkin6. juli 2026This is a great, bleak, western from Aldrich. Lancaster is on top form as the grizzled, weary veteran, as is Davison, as the naive inexperienced lieutenant. Both are at opposite sides of how to deal with Ulzana, and they both recognise that they are the invaders of a land, and whose inhabitants will fight for their land. The movie makes it clear that both sides are brutal, and that both sides are complicit in the escalating violence.
