- Christopher-2 d.Just needed a reminder of the future we're going down. Tbh im thinking they'll be way more capable when the time comes. At the same time, logically, humans are pretty effective when it comes to energy conversion. We take in 2000cal and that's enough to get your average human thru the day. Double for a athlete and 3 if your a body builder tryna compete. If you convert gasoline to calories, its an insane amount. Point is, i think if it ever got in control, it would rather make us cattle than to get rid of us seeing as more than 3/4th's of the planet just needs beer, bread, and entertainment. Shit, we might already be there.

That cold, unwavering purpose amplifies the sense of horror, making the Terminator’s brand of destruction feel inescapable and beyond the usual bounds of human aggression.
- DARTH VADER20. januar 2026The Terminator has a very creative, a well crafted and really well put together concept, with how the story & themes all playout throughout the coarse of the film! For example with how John Connor was produced, what the photograph of Sarah all meant and why it was specifically Kyle Reese, that came back in time to save Sarah and spoiler their unborn son, it's just brilliant how everything all ties together effortlessly and effectively. Also what I've always really loved and admired about the OG Terminator, is that it has multiple different genres all wrapped into one, such as the romance angle with Sarah & Kyle and how that slowly emerges through the movie, it also has a lot of horror elements in it, it's Sci - Fi as well obviously and it has the action genre too, it's very clever & fascinating how all of those genres all intertwine together seamlessly, just simply genius & brilliant 👏 👏 I loved the really dark tone in it, that really gives it that suspense & atmosphere! And finally while the T-1000 is the more iconic, you can't deny that the T-800 is by far the more frightening of the 2 and there's a reason why, the OG Terminator catapulted Arnies career straight into the stratosphere, because of how intense, relentless and frightening he was in that 1st film and the fact he had to make himself act like a cyborg, by loading his guns without looking and not blink at all, even when he's firing it's for me a career best performance from Arnold! The Terminator is 💯 a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ & 10/10 Masterpiece, that is endlessly rewatchable I love it so damn much.

- Jakeys28. desember 2025Crazy to think for its time this was just a sci-fi horror b-movie, it even had mono sound. In that context, it's masterful. But obviously now it's rightfully lauded. The only thing is, I can't work out if Arnold's acting is a stroke of genius, or if it was crap but the movie just played to it perfectly by making him a robot. Perhaps it's elements of both, but this Terminator is very, very different from all the Terminators that came after it. The effects haven't aged anywhere near as well as T2's, but if you can look past them, this is a really tight movie and an easy five stars.
