- Patrick Wai3. april 2026The Rundown feels like three movies got into a bar fight: it starts off pretending to be a mercenary/Bourne-style action thriller, then stumbles into a buddy-comedy jungle trek, and finally ends up doing a discount-Indiana Jones routine with enough over-the-top action to make physics file a restraining order. Dwayne Johnson is still just Dwayne Johnson here — not yet inflated into a walking mountain — and he’s likable enough to carry the whole thing even when the script gives him characters with the depth of a puddle. Christopher Walken, as usual, glides in and reminds everyone what an actual entertaining villain looks like, while Seann William Scott’s Travis is so relentlessly corny and obnoxious he comes dangerously close to wrecking the movie by himself. There are a handful of scenes that are genuinely laugh-out-loud funny, and the whole thing is undeniably entertaining, but it’s also shallow, predictable, and about as subtle as a jeep rolling down a hill for half an hour. In other words, it’s a fun mess: easy to enjoy, impossible to take seriously, and probably better remembered for its comic chemistry and chaos than for anything resembling story or character depth. That’s pretty close to how a lot of critics saw it too: an energetic, funny action-comedy that works more on momentum and chemistry than originality or substance.

A seemingly simple job that turns dangerous when he’s hunted by a ruthless crime lord and his army of mercenaries. Now, the two must find common ground and contend with each other long enough to find the gold and get back home. This film shows that Dwayne Johnson has the material to be one of the greats. With a funny premise and some quirky characters, we’re left in stitches at the site of some fun entertainment.
- Zokkiie12. januar 2026Dwayne Johnson is solid as the hero, bringing charm and action to every scene, and Sean William Scott is… well, Stifler in the jungle—funny, obnoxious, and impossible not to notice. The action sequences are entertaining, with some genuinely funny moments and clever banter. On the downside, the plot is predictable, a few jokes fall flat, and Scott’s performance, while hilarious, is basically a one-note character stretched across the whole movie. Still, it’s an enjoyable watch if you’re in the mood for lighthearted action-comedy

- JoshuaW14. juni 2025Gotta love the two “the Rock” and “Seann Scott” as a match up together. Great acting and you can tell both had fun while making this movie. Heck of a Rundown. Hard to rate with 5 stars. I gave it a 3. Kept me interested, and laughing the whole way through. Fight scenes were really great.
