- Lincoln and Blake Frank-1 d.The Martuan is one of the best modern sci-fi movies because it feels grounded, intelligent, and human at the same time. Matt Damon made the survival story believable without turning it overly dramatic, and the movie kept me invested by focusing on problem solving, resilience, and hope instead of nonstop action. The science felt realistic enough to pull you into the experience, and Mars itself looked both beautiful and terrifying. A rare sci-fi film that feels inspiring instead of hopeless.

Matt Damon does a nice job as "Captain Blond Beard" and I am sure he woukd agree a better pirate then spaceman. The story keeps you engaged and rooting for a mission that will never happen in our lifetime, if it does I'll comeback to this review and apologize to everyone who read it.
