I was tryna rent it and everything! Annoying. Kevin Smith Movie Club!?! What the fuck lol Matt is Tim Robinson x Johnny Pemberton Love when he’s talking to the kids and he references Irreversible Never heard this version of Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” before (except the fact that I’ve heard it a million times as interpolated in ScHoolboy Q’s “Hands on the Wheel”) Seeing Jay was funny and almost took me out of it. Most dedicated cameraman of all-time Phenomenal ending credits.

The dirties is an early look at his directorial skills and ability to elevate meta narratives into something special and heartfelt. While it’s certainly no academy awards contender, the chemistry on screen between its leads are a joy to watch. Heartbreaking ending. Also- Matt Johnson did black face in this?!?!!?!
