You put on the field there; Kyle…playing the…trumpet” These guys are so good at writing off-screen jokes. Like….the best. Just supplying George Wendt with so much material OH MY GOD AND TODD BARRY!! Him at the bachelor party killed me. Great taste in casting Bought this film bc I loved Splitsville so much. It does slightly lessen the impact of them due to the similarities, but it really doesn’t matter. They’re both hilarious and great. Slightly more real and sad but still wonderful!
- gmrxbox21. oktober 2024The movie starts with two friends on bikes in the Parisian countryside, with one of them about to get married and the other his best man. The best man then reveals he slept with the fiance, and so begins a lovely 15-minute long shot chase/shouting match between the friends. The Climb is that perfect blend of dark humor and beautiful cinematography (feels like it's written by the Coen brothers and directed by Wes Anderson). Definitely near the top of my favorites this year.
