- synthete-3 d.I honestly can't tell if it's supposed to be comedy or not. I laughed at the first 'brutalizing' scene, but there's just no point to any of it, and it's extremely poorly executed and debasedly deranged in a way that I would actively avoid the presence of the creator. I stopped it after the second kill scene, and I still feel that I gave it too much of my time.

- jackmeat5. oktober 2025My quick rating - 6.7/10. Utter brutality merely for the sake of just that, to shock you. The kills are a never-ending onslaught on your eyes and your brain in imagining just how horribly painful these actions would be. The movie set out with a single goal and accomplished it. If you haven't seen the first flick, it is very much related, but only in a way that can quickly be explained. This movie starts off immediately after the first one ends. But it isn't necessary to watch if you want to jump right in with this. The first one was more of a traditional slasher, and as much as I did enjoy this one, I definitely appreciated the first one more. The story is quite simple: Art the Clown kills everyone with impunity. Here he is after a girl who has a strange connection to the killer clown and will not let anyone get in the way of his vicious brand of slaughter. The blood is unloaded on the audience in buckets, to say the least. The strange thing is, with all this violence, it still tends to slip in some really dark humor along the way. If you ever bothered with the third Halloween flick, it did one very successful thing that no one ever saw coming. It ingrained a song into your head for no apparent reason. If you are reading this and know what I mean, the lyrics are already bopping in your head (absolutely click at your own risk). Well, here there is another attempt at drowning your brain with a song that you just don't want stuck in your head. I will not say it is going to stick with you literally 40 years later like the link above has in my damn head, but you will be humming about the Clown Cafe (no spoiler link) for at least some time after the credits. Where this movie falters, though, is a weird turn they decided to take and never developed at all. This is some connections to the supernatural which are just not hashed out properly, leaving complete parts of the story unexplained. They sneak in our survivor from the first flick, which, if you saw it, you'll realize no one, including Art, was going to survive, but alas, they worked it out. However, these occurrences just don't get fully formed. That and other character connections as well get left. Don't get me wrong, they clearly leave the ending open for another sequel, and judging by how this one exploded, I know damn well there will be one. But I just hope they can pull the reins back a bit with the story since it branched off too much for its own good. Still, a must-see for horror fans and a great date movie if you are making sure you won't get a follow-up phone call.
- Kevin Ward6. juli 2025The practical effects are just off the charts. These movies aren’t for the squeamish, but if you like hardcore blood and gore, you get that in spades with Terrifier 2. We’ve even got some dick violence to offset the arguably sexist gaze of the first Terrifier film (though I liked that film as well). Art the Clown is as menacing as ever, but his new little side kick is a creepy and welcome addition to the mayhem. I was worried about the runtime when I saw it was 2.5 hrs long. I watched it in two sittings though (half one night and the second half the next morning) so I really didn’t feel the length at all. I’m definitely on board for more of this franchise. Gross and unsettling and exactly what I’m looking for. Wish I had caught this in a packed theater. I’ve been really disappointed with how quickly some films are just gone from my local theater. If I don’t hit the small movies in the first week, they’re gone. Then I either have to drive 50 minutes to a different theater orI have to just wait until it’s streaming. (Now I’m just complaining. I know there are many others that have access to far fewer film offerings than I do.) Anyways, the point being support these smaller movies in theaters when you have the chance.

- drthompsontv14. september 2025Exploitation film in its purest form. This might be the best current day slasher film. The effects are insanely well crafted. David Thornton is fantastic in his Art the Clown portrayal yet again. It’s comedic gold the way he brings this villain to life. If you want to turn your brain off and see some over the top violence and some physical comedy this movie will scratch your itch. Can’t wait to get my mitts on the 3rd movie.

We're introduced to a number of likable characters for whom we root, and a number of characters we hate and trust the filmmakers will kill off... This movie is, yes, a blood-and-gorefest, but one with genuinely funny moments—witness Art the Clown's Halloween store shenanigans—and a very relatable pair of angsty protagonists in the form of Sienna Shaw and her younger brother Jonathan. I felt for these two's frustrations, and cheered them on as Art the Clown tried to slaughter them. This movie remains compelling the whole way through, in spite of its runtime. If you like horror and don't mind blood and gore, watch this film.
