- pipanni-1 d.A great idea with a not so great execution. It's still an enjoyable movie, but so much was left unexplored. A huge franchise of never ending tv shows was born from this movie, thus proving how much was left untouched. For example: after the adventure ends all they think about is going home. Hello? What about all the other distant alien worlds we can now visit?!
- Scott Smith28. desember 2025This is a SciFi classic from the 90's that still holds up well. Spader and Russell were perfectly cast. I love revisiting this movie every few years. It also launched several great TV series like Stargate SG-1 , Stargate Atlantis, Stargate Universe, and a new Stargate series coming in 2027. A great concept that keeps on giving.

- AngusMcNutz22. august 2025Holds a special place in my heart being among the first sci-fi mainstays that I watched growing up before I was aware of how clunky Emmerich's writing is and continues to be. Things just kind of happen and most scenes are fueled by the 90s style "We've gotta do the thing" pacing. Points to set and costume design though. Roland knows what he likes.
- Michael Surber25. desember 2025It's a compelling watch and I usually get sucked in to watching most of it. Hard to resist both Spader and Russell and they both are in peak form here. Visually, it's stunning but it seems like a lot of fluff and filler at day's end. Regardless, it's a fun film that has held up better than many of it's counterparts from the 80s-90s have. If you haven't watched it, I'd recommend it.

One of the best sci-fi movies of the 90's and boy this has aged like a fine wine. You'd never know that this was 30 or so years old - and the fx hold up like they do in T2.
