There were moments where I felt my attention slipping, but then something would get a genuine laugh out of me and pull me back in. Kevin James has that kind of likable screen presence that keeps you from walking away even when the story isn't firing on all cylinders. What saves the whole thing though is the ending. Without giving anything away, the twist at the finish line completely reframes the movie and honestly made it worth the ride. I found myself looking back at everything with a new appreciation. Not a perfect film, but a satisfying one by the time the credits roll. If you're a Kevin James fan, stick with it.
