It's not great, and it's not terrible—it feels like an episode of Mannix, Columbo, or one of the other detective shows of the era, which may explain why it never became a series. The main reason to watch it is that Steven Spielberg directed it. If you enjoy those classic TV mysteries, you may have a good time with it. But if you're simply looking for a good movie, I'd skip it unless you're trying to see everything Spielberg has directed.
