It was okay I guess I mean liked the story and the plot twist. But I feel like this doesn’t really fall into the horror category I mean just remove the eerie music and it’s not horror I’m not saying it’s bad I’m just saying it could have been better. But I guess it’s still pretty good

I watched this movie because I heard it was set in the same universe as Searching and Missing, both thrillers that I thoroughly enjoyed. The beginning of the movie seemed to indicate this would be as successful as those two, but I found myself losing interest as it progressed. Firstly, there is hardly any plot connections between this movie and the other two, even if it might be set in the same universe. Secondly, the actual style of the movie is completely different, where it is not taking place on screens like the other two. In that sense, I do not fully think it is "similar" to the other two movies even if it is by the same director. You do get a sense of the claustrophobia with the way it is filmed, but that's about it. The other issue is that the movie doesn't create the same sense of mystery. It becomes quickly obvious what is going on, and once I realized that is when I started to lose interest in the movie. It's just not able to maintain the level of suspense because it feels like you know exactly where the movie is headed, and the story doesn't feel fresh enough to justify it.
