- flavo437. desember 2025Patton (1970) stands as one of the greatest biographical films ever made, capturing the complexity of General George S. Patton with both grandeur and nuance. George C. Scott delivers a remarkable performance, embodying the general’s brilliance, ferocity, and contradictions with unmatched intensity. His portrayal balances Patton’s strengths—strategic genius, courage, and relentless drive—with his flaws, including arrogance and volatility, making the character both inspiring and deeply human. The film’s sweeping cinematography and powerful score underscore the scale of World War II, while its sharp script explores the psychology of leadership and the cost of ambition. Rather than glorifying Patton uncritically, the movie presents him as a man of immense talent and troubling flaws, a portrait rendered with grace and dignity. Patton remains a cinematic triumph, blending history, character study, and spectacle into a compelling exploration of one of America’s most controversial military figures.

- Mr.Mig20. oktober 2025Americans traditionally love to fight. All real Americans love the sting of battle.
- David Daniel10. oktober 2025Fantastic Hollywood biopic that nails down the contradictions of the period in which the film was produced. Great script by Coppola, expertly staged by Schaffner.
- 19. august 2026I still remember the first time I saw this. It was 1991, dad came home with it on VHS from Ritz. He shouted me down from my room while I was deep into Streets of Rage. He told me "You are about to have your mind blown my boy!" He was absolutely right! From the second it started I was hooked and have been for many a year since. George C Scott is tremendous and the action is everything and more you could want. If you have never seen this, I'm so jealous. I would love to see Patton again for the first time.
The finest war movie ever made!
