The Kadavumbhagam Synagogue, built in 1200BCE, in Kochi, South India, is the oldest Jewish Synagogue in the Commonwealth. Today with just around 10 people from the Jewish community left in Kochi, leaving the Synagogue with no Minyan (Quorum), Elias Josephai, the caretaker, has struggled for decades to preserve this historic Synagogue. Elias is a descendant of the ancient Jewish community which settled in Kochi, in 72BCE. This film is the story of one man's struggle to preserve his beloved synagogue.
