For decades, the small Swabian town of Pfullendorf has voted the way the priest wants it. The mayor and local council do what the authoritarian clergyman tells them to do. So it comes as quite a shock to Pastor Hund when Dorothee Auer, who seems to have no chance against him, wins the mayoral election. But in her efforts to do everything right, the inexperienced politician makes some nasty blunders - and the vengeful vicar watches her with relish.
